The Funeral of My Father’s Father

Earlier today I went to the funeral of my grandfather. He was my father’s father. A week before, my grandmother had her funeral at same place. It was a sad occasion. I remember my grandparents come sporadically to visit us. We’re two municipalities apart and it takes about an hour of travel by bus or jeepney. They were such good grandparents. I recall the way they told us stories about their lives when they were younger. I can feel how my father was affected with the loss.

If there’s a better thing that my grandparents passed on to us, that is the faith they had for God and His word the Bible. They were active Jehovah’s Witnesses until they died. They believed in the resurrection. That’s also my belief.

Our family as well as our relatives will miss them. We’re sad but our sadness will not be forever. Life has an end. It’s up to you how will you end it up. Choose the better ending for you’ll be remembered.
