The 5th P in the Marketing Mix

We have known long the classic 4Ps of Marketing Mix: product, price, place, and promotion. There are few people however who added one more P in it. The 4Ps are irrefutable and they are positioned in their right places. The 5th P being suggested demands scrutiny. Some say the 5th P should be people. The rationale is the other 4Ps could not exist without people who do the actions. Others say that positioning is the 5th P because all marketing efforts are directed to influence and occupy the minds of the target market.

Let me know your stand. Which should be the 5th P of Marketing Mix? People or positioning?
