I was not in my classes yesterday because I attended a seminar on research and publication. The seminar was organized by the research unit of Colegio de Dagupan. This is a thrust of CdD for a university status. The resource speakers were Dr. Virgilio Manzano and Mr. Paul Samuel Ignacio, both are from the University of the Philippines. Dr. Manzano talked about the topics: “How to Write a Research Paper” and “Writing for Publication: A Guide for Authors.” Mr. Ignacio discussed “Common Statistical Treatments used in Research.”
The seminar was timely for I am presently conducting a research and holding classes on marketing research and feasibility studies. I also advising HRM students on their theses, and became an statistician on their researches.
